Tractor Cake

So I recently made this cake for my nephew's birthday. He REALLY wanted a tractor cake, so this is what I came up with! This was a lot of fun to make and I think he really liked it. It was a white cake with butterscotch flavoured icing used for the filling and also to decorate it. The decorations were not edible. Happy Birthday little man! I hope you have fun with your tractor!

Girl Baptism Cake

This was a baptism cake that I did for a friend. This was a white cake with strawberry buttercream filling. It was covered in buttercream icing and decorated with royal icing flowers.

Pink Cupcake Wedding Cake

This is another cupcake wedding cake. It was white and chocolate cupcakes decorated with very pink butter cream. The top tier was a white cake covered in white fondant. I really liked the couples choice of cake topper, it was a very cute "I" which represented their last name. Congratulations!

Castle Cake

I did this cake for my daughters fifth birthday. Wow! This cake was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I knew it would take time, but it was very time consuming. The humidity also did not help. Let's just say a few tears were shed...especially when half of it fell on the floor! I did manage to rescue it and she never noticed. This was a vanilla cake witha strawberry buttercream filling. It was covered in fondant and decorated with more fondant flowers and edible sparkles. Happy Birthday Nicole!

Bug Cake

I just recently made this cake for my daughter's third birthday. She really likes bugs and animals lately, so I wanted to incorporate that theme. My sister made the little blue ant and I made the other two. This cake took a fair bit of time to make, but I thought the end product was worth it. It was a vanilla cake with a strawberry butter cream filling. All the decorations were either made out of fondant or gum paste. Happy Birthday Emily!!!

Frisian Flag Cake

This cake was done for a friend of mine whose father turned 70. He comes from Holland, and the province of Friesland. He loves all memorabilia having to do with Friesland so this cake was perfect for him. This was a vanilla cake with berry filling and buttercream icing.

30th Anniversary

This cake was done for a local landscaping business that celebrated their 30th anniversary! This was a vanilla cake with vanilla filling. It was iced in vanilla butter cream icing. The flowers were made out of royal icing.

Chocolate and Strawberries

This cake was for my aunt's 50th birthday. This was a chocolate cake with oreo cream cheese filling. It was iced with chocolate buttercream and chocolate ganache. Then I topped it off with chocolate dipped strawberries! Yum!!!

Baseball Cake

This cake was for my uncle's 50th birthday. This was the first time I made a cake in this shape, and I think it turned out well. (Gotta love your good ole Pyrex bowl!)This was a butter pecan cake with standard buttercream filling and it was also iced in buttercream.

Brown and White Wedding

So this is probably my favourite cake so far. This was for my cousin's wedding and it took a lot of work but was a lot of fun. Every tier but the top one was fake. It was covered in white and chocolate brown fondant. I thought it turned out really well! Congratulations Jon and Candace!

So, I'm back...

Well, I guess it has been a little while since I posted last. I have been doing a few cakes here and there, but after baby number three in November, things have slowed down a little. I hope to catch up with my posting now and I have some more cakes coming up in the near future. So I am back!!
